The outreach volume check
How many people you have to email to get the leads you want
Set the size of your market and the number of meeting-ready leads you want a month. The check works out how many people you have to reach to get them, how much of your market that burns through every month, and how long it lasts before you have emailed everyone. Your numbers, computed in front of you. Nothing here is a quote.
Real contacts with working email at companies that fit, not the size of the industry. If you have not counted, guess low.
Someone who replied, fits, and asked to talk. This sets a goal; it does not promise one.
The whole sequence, first email and follow-ups. Three is our default. Longer sequences add sends without adding many leads.
Replies divided by people reached, not by emails sent. Someone who gets three emails and answers the third replied once.
What is left after the out-of-offices, the unsubscribes and the no-thank-yous. Lower than most people guess, which is why it gets its own slider.
People you have to reach a month
5,000
Your lead goal times the contacts it takes to produce one. This is the number that has to exist in your market before anything else on the page matters.
The emails per lead sits inside the band we see across our own campaigns, 2,500 to 4,000. The rest of the numbers on this page are worth trusting to the nearest few hundred.
The verdict
Your market lasts 6.0 months
The market covers the goal for under a year. That works for a run with a defined end, and it means the targeting has to be close to right on the first attempt. Keep a second segment ready for when this one thins out.
It models one clean pass through one market. It does not know your offer, and the offer moves the reply rate more than anything else on this page. It also assumes every contact is reachable and correct, which no list is. The slider that moves the answer most is the share of replies worth having.
Want this run against your actual market?
We count a market before anyone signs anything, and we say so when the volume isn't there. If it is, the leads offer prints what a month costs and what a lead costs on its own page.
